remember how they couldn’t endorse because they were failing to persuade the public of their neutrality and lack of bias, so it was essential to restore trust?
i guess a best case scenario is what people sometimes say of the WSJ, good news side, ridiculous editorial side? i don’t know to what degree WSJ has lived up even to that. can we hope that from WaPo? some of the journalists i admire still work there. do they become fascist Pravda?
