Trump said he was going to bring peace quickly. Yes, people who pay attention understood that could only happen by selling Ukraine out, but most voters do not pay attention and prefer peace to war. Blaming voters is useless, and dumb, and diffuses accountability from where it is owed.

We are the bad guys until we impose control over our lawless government and restore some semblance of virtue. We don't have to be the bad guys. We are responsible for ensuring that our government acts well.
