maybe if Trump froze Democratic legislators salaries, Democratic leadership would finally act like a political party in serious opposition rather than a jobs program win or lose. US legislators of both parties have to learn it's no good keeping your jobs if you let the country fall to ruin.
what Trump doesn't get is the deep export of the United States is security services, the overpricing of our currency that let's us buy so much shit is in significant part downstream from support by security clients, and by destroying that business he's not winning anything and putting lots at risk.

they think it's savvy to tell us the vibes, the culture, the kids, the cool kids, the housewives, the working man, the hippies & new age chicks, anybody, everybody, is going nazi. they concern troll, dig the clicks and shouting matches, don't exactly mean to help make it so as they help make it so.

some people prefer the negative income tax and others prefer the universal basic income, so they compromised on the negative basic income.
i feel like my kid's fifth grade teacher really dodged a bullet. they covered the geography of the US southeast, including the Gulf of Mexico, like a month ago. it'd be a no-win situation if she had to teach it now.
If Trump passed an executive order claiming "yuge" the official spelling of TWFKAH (the word formerly known as "huge"), would @merriam-webster.com just comply, maybe listing the h-version as an alternate or archaic spelling? But Google, Google, is doubleplusgood. ht @gottalaff.bsky.social

from @weisenthal.bsky.social, descriptively accurate, but a terrible social contract. mkts can't simultaneously be good capital allocators and a reliable xfers program, just like housing cannot be both continuously affordable and a good investment. plus it's a distributionally awful xfers program.
i think we should commit to $2T Made-In-America AI capex, just to prove to China we can't be bowed. Galaxygate, mofos.
Sputnik, except our rival player published rather than classified all their tech specs. Maybe zero-sum national rivalry is not the best way to think about this? I’m pretty glad the prospect of oligarchical dominance has diminished, even if the oligarchs in question are American.

instead of helping people rebuild what it makes no sense to build, what if we eminent-domain burnt-out neighborhoods, compensate generously, modify laws as necessary to ensure cash settlements of insurance contracts, and build anew, on less, more defensible land, at much higher density?
